WIPO: Inventors in California Develop Concentrator Applications Photovoltaic Receiver

GENEVA, Oct. 25 - Tyler Williams and David Youmans both of Berkeley, Calif., Duncan Harwood of Santa Clara, Calif., have developed solar concentrators incorporating photovoltaic receiver assemblies.

According to an abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the invention aims to provide "solar concentrators incorporating photovoltaic receiver assemblies with improved thermal dissipation, dielectric, encapsulation, and cell/wiring protection characteristics." . . .
