AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 21 -- The Texas Democratic Party issued the following press document:
In response to the University of Texas' leadership relocating Confederate statues to a museum, today, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick disagreed and stood up in defense of honoring the Confederacy in the public square.
Similarly, last week, Gov. Greg Abbott claimed the removal of these symbols of racism was foolhardy.
According to the Texas Tribune, Texas has more than 170 public . . .
