NRC Seeks Public Comment on LaSalle Nuclear Plant License Renewal

WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the following news release:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission seeks public comment on a draft report on the environmental impacts of renewing the operating license of the LaSalle nuclear power plant in Illinois. The draft report contains the NRC staff's preliminary conclusion that the environmental impacts would not preclude renewing the license for an additional 20 years of operation.
