LEXINGTON, Va., Sept. 26 -- Virginia Military Institute issued the following news:
A career ambassador with decades of service in the Middle East and South Asia and who has been honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom will receive VMI's Distinguished Diplomat Award on Monday, Sept. 30.
Ryan Crocker, who has served as U.S. ambassador to six countries in some of the world's most politically unstable regions, will be honored during a ceremony in Gillis Theater . . .
