WASHINGTON, May 14 -- Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D. (at large), issued the following news release:

Pomeroy takes part in commissioning ceremony, honors First Lieutenant Robert Schmitt

Congressman Earl Pomeroy and the Tri-College ROTC took part in a commissioning ceremony Friday for eight ROTC graduates. The ceremony also honored the memory of First Lieutenant Robert G. Schmitt, a war hero from North Dakota who was killed in combat during the Korean War.
