MOSUL, Iraq, Dec. 3 -- The U.S. Army 1st Armored Division issued the following news release:
An improvised explosive device exploded outside a primary school in the Al Sideeq neighborhood in northeast Mosul Dec 2.
Initial reports indicate four Iraqi children and one adult dead with four children and one adult wounded.
The insurgents allegedly used a push cart loaded with explosives. The majority of the damage occurred on the exterior structure.
