GREENSBORO, N.C., Nov. 17 -- The University of Virginia issued the following news release:
Virginia freshman guard Sylven Landesberg (Flushing, N.Y.) is the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for his play in the Cavaliers' 107-97 victory over Virginia Military Institute at John Paul Jones Arena on Sunday (Nov. 16).
Landesberg scored 28 points, had eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals against the Keydets in 36 minutes of playing time. He made 10 . . .
