LA MESA, Calif., Aug. 23 -- The city of La Mesa issued the following news release:
The La Mesa Police Department conducted a DUI and Driver License checkpoint in the 8100 block of Fletcher Parkway on Friday, August 22, 2008. The checkpoint was operational for five (5) hours.
745 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint. 27 drivers were taken into the secondary inspection area which resulted in 6 of those drivers being further evaluated for driving under the influenc . . .
