CROOKSTON, Minn., April 8 -- University of Minnesota Crookston issued the following news release:
The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Women's Softball team opened Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play on April 5 and 6 at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb.
The Golden Eagles came out strong in the first game and played solid defense but fell to Upper Iowa 2-1. UMC fell to Southwest Minnesota State 9-4 and Concordia-St. Paul 9-1 later on Saturday . . .
