NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 19 -- University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey issued the following news release:

A diet low in sugar and carbs and proper brushing to rid the mouth of potentially problem-causing bacteria are among the steps youths can take to maintain a healthy and pain-free mouth this school year, advises a UMDNJ dental expert.
