MACOMB, Ill., April 19 -- Western Illinois University issued the following news release:
Lauren Furgala went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and five RBIs as Western Illinois split with Southern Utah, 6-1 and 3-5, Saturday.
The Thunderbirds (16-30, 9-7 The Summit League) were first on the board with an unearned run in the first inning.
With Michelle Prieto on third base and Colleen Biebel on second and no outs, Southern Utah intentionally walked Saman . . .
