FORT RILEY, Kan., Jan. 12 -- Fort Riley issued the following news release:
Maj. Alan G. Rogers, 40, of Hampton, Fla., died Jan. 27 in Baghdad of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated while he was conducting a dismounted patrol.
Rogers was a military intelligence officer assigned to a military transition team assigned to the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
