ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 1 -- The Association of the United States Army issued the following newsletter article:
Over 26,000 register runners, over 650 team and thousands of family members and spectators converged in the Pentagon's south parking lot Sunday morning, Oct. 5, for the running of the 24th Annual Army Ten-Miler.
Race registration for this year's event opened April 1, and the 26,000 cap was reached in a record 21 days.
