PALM DESERT, Calif., Oct. 31 -- The city of Palm Desert issued the following news release:
On Thursday, November 13, the City of Palm Desert will join other cities and public agencies throughout California in the nation's largest state-sponsored emergency preparedness exercise - Golden Guardian 2008.
This statewide drill, which coincides with the similarly themed Great Southern California ShakeOut drill at 10 a.m. on November 13, will simulate a catastrophic 7.8 mag . . .
