BATON ROUGE, La., Oct. 3 -- The Louisiana State University Health Care Sciences Division issued the following news release:
The Earl K. Long Medical Center (EKLMC) reopens today, Friday, October 3, 2008. The LSU hospital at 5825 Airline Highway has installed a new transformer after Hurricane Gustav damaged beyond repair the one in place and left the hospital with no air conditioning.
All approvals to reoccupy the hospital were obtained from the Office of Public Heal . . .
