HOUSTON, Nov. 5 -- The University of Houston issued the following news release:
Dr. Renu Khator has been unanimously appointed president of the University of Houston and chancellor of the UH System. The action was taken Monday in a special meeting of the UH System Board of Regents.
Khator, who has been serving as provost and senior vice president at the University of South Florida, is expected to take office in January 2008.
