NORFOLK, Va., June 4 -- Norfolk State University issued the following news release:
Y.T. Shah has been named provost of Norfolk State University, effective July 1. Shah will be second-in-command to the president and serve as the chief academic officer and senior vice president for the institution. Shah comes to Norfolk State with more than 35 years of higher education experience and more than 10 years of experience as a university-wide senior administrator.
