ST. PAUL, Minn., May 5 -- Minnesota State Rep. Kent Eken, DFL-District 2A, issued the following news release:
2008 is a milestone year for Minnesota, marking 150 years since Minnesota became the 32nd state to join the union. Celebrations for the Minnesota Sesquicentennial will involve yearlong, statewide celebrations to commemorate our past.
Most festivities have been arranged during Sesquicentennial Statehood Week, May11-18, 2008. Statehood Day, May 11, will begin . . .
