ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 13 -- Rochester Gas & Electric issued the following news release:
The one-two punch of blistering heat and unbearable humidity on Monday drove up demand for electricity to near-record levels across the NYSEG and RG&E service areas, according to preliminary numbers compiled by the companies.
