MONTGOMERY, Ala., June 20 -- Alabama State University issued the following news release:
In the midst of a faltering economy and rising fuel and energy costs, officials at Alabama State University expressed concern today about sluggish contributions to the institution's Trust for Educational Excellence 2008. With $304,000 collected thus far, the University is less than one-third of the way toward meeting the $1 million fundraising goal by July 31.
