TAHLEQUAH, Okla., Oct. 9 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:
The first baby born at Cherokee Nation Hastings Hospital after the tribe assumed operations was Cordae Shine, a Creek citizen, from Eufaula.
