ALBANY, N.Y., Aug. 14 -- Gov. David Paterson, D-N.Y., has issued the following proclamation:
Whereas, the 232nd Anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn provides our great Nation and our great State with an occasion to celebrate the courage and determination of those who fought America's War of Independence; moreover, commemorating this milestone provides a source of inspiration and pride, as our country's military forces once again engage in activities to defend freedom-loving peopl . . .
