JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., Aug. 28 -- Gov. Matt Blunt, R-Mo., issued the following press release:
In January, Gov. Matt Blunt called for legislation to protect Missouri homeowners from rising local property taxes. The General Assembly answered the call with the leadership of Senator Mike Gibbons and this important legislation takes effect today.
