FORT LEE, Va., Aug. 21 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Commissary Agency issued the following press release:
The Defense Commissary Agency has reached its goal to sell 1 million compact fluorescent bulbs to commissary customers worldwide in 2008 - two months ahead of its Sept. 30 target.
Lighting accounts for roughly 20 percent of the average home's energy bill, according to the U.S. Department of Energy Web site. CFL bulbs - the swirl-shaped bulbs found . . .
