FAIRBANKS, Alaska, Dec. 3 -- The University of Alaska issued the following news release:
The University of Alaska Fairbanks Jazz Band, under its new director, Daniel Cathey, will present a winter concert Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. in the Charles W. Davis Concert Hall. The UAF Jazz Combo, directed by Barney McClure, will also perform.
The concert will feature "The Red Sea," by Bob Mintzer, as well as pieces by Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Thad Jones and others.
