WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 -- Rep. Philip English, R-Pa. (3rd CD), issued the following statement:
U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-Pa.) released the following statement regarding news reports US combat troops will be scheduled to leave Iraq by 2011 under the terms of a deal awaiting approval by Iraq's parliament and presidency:
"I have long supported and called for a phase out of U.S. combat troops and a shift in diplomatic focus to helping the Iraqi government assume respo . . .
