WASHINGTON, July 30 -- Rep. James P. McGovern, D-Mass. (3rd CD), issued the following statement:
I thank the gentleman from Indiana, who represents the home base of the USS LST Memorial Ship, the LST-325, for yielding me time.
Mr. Speaker, I couldn't be more proud to see this resolution come before the House today for consideration.
The Navy and Coast Guard sailors and seamen who served on these LSTs are true American heroes. They fought for this coun . . .
