Book Lovers Invited to Join Discussion Series at MATC-Mequon

ECU Cell Phone Drive Will Benefit Family Violence Center
GREENVILLE, N.C., Aug. 25 -- East Carolina University issued the following news release:
East Carolina University's Student Legal Services is conducting a cell phone drive to benefit the Family Violence Center.

The HSUS Praises Alabama Officials for Denying Parole to Man Convicted of Felony Animal Cruelty
WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 -- The Humane Society issued the following news release:
The Humane Society of the United States praises the Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole for denying parole to Juan Daniels, who was the first person convicted of felony animal cruelty charges under the Pet Protection Act.
