Debt-For-Nature Agreement to Conserve Brazil's Tropical Forests
WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury issued the following news release: The Governments of the United States of America and the Federative Republic of Brazil signed a Debt-for-Nature Agreement today to reduce Brazil's debt payments to the United States by close to $21 million over the next five years.
