ROANOKE, Va., Aug. 5 -- The city of Roanoke issued the following news release:
The Roanoke Police Department saw a decrease of nearly four percent in crime city-wide during the first six months of 2010 as compared to the first six months of 2009. However, calls for police service of a domestic nature increased 20 percent during the same time period, and domestic incidents investigated by officers rose 38 percent. Mason City Man Arrested on Federal Ammunition Charge
WASHINGTON, Aug. 4 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa issued the following news release:
Brandon Snater, age 29, from Anamosa, Iowa, was arrested yesterday and appeared in federal court today on a charge of being a domestic violence misdemeanant in possession of ammunition. The charge is contained in an Indictment filed on July 28, 2010, in United States District Court in Cedar Rapids. Snater is being held in custody pending a detention hearing scheduled for August 6, 2010
