Rep. Dahlkemper Introduces Bill to Reduce Childhood Obesity
WASHINGTON, April 29 -- Rep. Kathleen Dahlkemper, D-Pa., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5113) to "amend the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 to establish the Healthy Habits School Challenge Program to reduce childhood obesity by recognizing schools that are creating healthier school environments for children by promoting good nutrition and physical activity."
The bill was introduced on April 22.
The legislation was referred to the House Education and Labor Committee.
