NASHVILLE, Tennessee, May 4 -- The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation issued the following news: Fall Creek Falls State Park will host an open house Thursday, May 9 to share information with the community about a project at the park's scenic loop. Thousands of trees were downed by storms last year creating hazards within the park and for the gorge. Work to remove the fallen trees will begin this summer and continue into the fall.
