WASHINGTON, May 9 -- The U.S. Agency for International Development issued the following news release:
The United States is providing nearly $220 million in additional humanitarian aid to help the people of Yemen, including nearly $200 million through USAID and nearly $20 million through the Department of State. This brings the United States' total assistance to the humanitarian response in Yemen to nearly $5.9 billion since the conflict began in September 2014.
