WASHINGTON, May 8 -- The National Gallery of Art issued the following news release on May 7, 2024:
The National Gallery of Art announced today that Heather Slania will join the museum as chief librarian. Slania comes to the National Gallery from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she is director of library and academic support services. She was previously director of the library and research center at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
