CHICAGO, Illinois, May 4 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois issued the following news release:
A Chicago health care company and its owner will pay $1 million to the United States to resolve a civil lawsuit arising from the submission of false claims to Medicare.
BRIAN J. WEINSTEIN and APOLLO HEALTH INC. violated the False Claims Act by submitting claims to Medicare for care plan oversight services that were not actually performed, . . .
