WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 -- The Democratic National Committee issued the following statement by Chair Tom Perez after Senate Republicans passed a budget bill without any Democratic support:
"As someone who worked on the back of a trash truck to help pay for college, I know garbage when I see it. And this Republican budget is a dumpster fire. Republicans have one goal: to fast-track a massive tax giveaway to wealthy corporations and the top 1 percent at the expense of hardworking fam . . .
