SAUSALITO, Calif., Oct. 19 -- The Marine Mammal Center issued the following news release:
As a primary partner in an extraordinary conservation effort to save the last remaining vaquita porpoise, The Marine Mammal Center has sent two experts to San Felipe, Mexico. Senior Scientist Dr. Frances Gulland serves as the expedition's lead veterinarian and will be in Mexico for the duration of the six-week expedition.
