AMES, Iowa, Feb. 27 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory issued the following news release:
Although a Friday snowstorm reduced the field to 16 teams, Ames Middle School had no trouble capturing its fourth straight Ames Laboratory/Iowa State University Regional Middle School Science Bowl championship here Saturday, Feb. 25. The team from Ames won all seven of its matches throughout the day by an average score of 138-18.
