SANFORD, Fla., Sept. 8 -- Seminole State College issued the following news release:
Eleven awards were presented on Aug. 19 to the top students in each of the four graduating classes from the Criminal Justice Institute, part of the Center for Public Safety at Seminole State College of Florida.
Basic Law Enforcement Academy Class No. 101
* Firearms Award: Samuel Velazquez, of Winter Garden
* Academic Award: Ryan Fritz, of Lake Mary
