NEW DELHI, India, April 26 - The government of India issued the following news release from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs:
There are 2,474 forest villages/ habitations in the country, spread over 12 States. Under the programme of development of forest villages, Rs. 60876.26 lakh has been released for 2,413 forest villages in these States.
