WASHINGTON, April 26 -- The Rainbow PUSH Coalition issued the following news release:

The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies has announced that it will honor the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., founder and president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and one of America's foremost religious, political and civil rights leaders, with the 2010 Louis E. Martin Great American Award at its 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner, April 27, 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington.
