NEW DELHI, India, April 26 - The government of India issued the following news release from the Ministry of Home Affairs:
An amount of Rs.9561.26 lakhs has been sanctioned in 2009-10 to the maoist affected states including West Bengal under the "Special Assistance Scheme" for the development of such states. Of which, Rs.30 crores has been released as first installment. An amount of Rs.1059.17 lakh has been sanctioned to West Midnapore district of West Bengal and Rs.340 l . . .
