NEVADA, Mo., Nov. 24 -- Cotley College issued the following news release:
The Cottey College Comets fell to Labette Community College 70-59 Saturday afternoon at Parsons, Kansas.
A fast start by Labette propelled the home team to a 26-43 halftime lead. That 17-point deficit proved to be too much for Cottey. The Comets, however, showed great improvement after the break, outscoring the Lady Cardinals 33-27 in the second 20 minutes.
