QUINCY, Ill., Feb. 23 -- University of Southern Indiana issued the following news release:
The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team could not overcome a dismal first half performance as it lost to Quincy University, 89-59, Saturday afternoon at the Pepsi Arena.
USI (9-16, 4-13 GLVC) shot just 30.4 percent from the field in the opening period, 0-for-4 from three-point range, as it went into the break facing a 40-15 halftime deficit.
