LA MESA, Calif., July 19 -- The city of La Mesa issued the following news release:
The La Mesa Police Department conducted a DUI and Driver License checkpoint in the 3800 block of Massachusetts Avenue on Saturday, July 19, 2008. The checkpoint was operational for five (5) hours.
735 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint. 38 drivers were taken into the secondary inspection area which resulted in 2 of those drivers being further evaluated for driving under the infl . . .
