CALIFORNIA, Pa., March 3 -- California University of Pennsylvania issued the following news release:
There's no denying the fact that if you want a self-sustaining population of ring-necked pheasants, you need the proper habitat.
Secure nesting cover and adequate winter cover are critical. Without the former, hens sitting on nests have a tough time avoiding predators like raccoons and foxes. Without the latter, birds struggle to survive in extreme cold.
