CALIFORNIA, Pa., March 17 -- California University of Pennsylvania issued the following news release:
California University's Black Student Union (BSU) Formal was held on Friday, Feb. 22 at the Willow Room in Belle Vernon, Pa. Enhancing the event was a moving keynote address by William "Bill" Carter, the great-grandson of Elizabeth Jennie Adams Carter, the University's first African-American graduate.
