MERCED, Calif., Nov. 17 -- The University of California at Merced issued the following press release:
Prompted by its commitment to improving educational opportunities for Central Valley students, Paramount Farms donated $250,000 to an endowed scholarship fund at the University of California, Merced. The endowment will provide low-income students from Kern, Kings, Tulare and Fresno Counties with the opportunity to achieve their education goals at UC Merced.
