Internationally renowned musical conductor and UCSC alumnus Kent Nagano will be awarded one of Japan's most prestigious decorations-the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette-at a December 7 ceremony at Japan's Consulate General's office in San Francisco.
