NEWARK, N.J., July 24 -- University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey issued the following news release:
Today, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report of an epidemic of unintentional deaths that were caused by an illicitly manufactured drug called fentanyl. The report documents the outbreak which was first officially noticed in April 2006 and resulted in over 1,000 deaths nationwide.
